Days Like These are What Life is Made Of

Saturday:
-Went for an impromptu bike ride with girls.  It took us only an hour to get half decent and ready to get out the door.  Olders rode new Christmas bikes, I pushed youngers in the stroller so we could go a farther distance.
- Cleaned, did laundry, made smoothies and funny homemade granola bars and worked in the yard.
- Ryan got home from his 10 1/2 mile overnight scout backpacking trip.
- Cleaned some more, did more laundry, rode bikes in our driveway as I cleaned the garage.
- Baths to clean up dirty girls and a bleeding Leta (she busted her lip and toe while riding bikes).
- Dinner made by Ryan.
- Girls to bed early because of no naps for the youngers today.
- More cleaning, returned stuff to sisters, went to grocery store, finished one more load of laundry.
- Was falling asleep through my own prayer and drifted off to sleep at midnight.

Sunday:
- 12:05 AM - Annie has thrown-up.
- Clean up bed, Ryan cleans up Annie.
- Make bed on floor for Annie to sleep on.
- Leta refuses to go back to bed too.
- It ends up with me, laying on the ground with 2 throwing up 2 1/2 year olds on me and beside me, towels, a throw-up bowl and toilet paper scattered around.
- 5 hour cycle of me trying to get girls to aim in a bowl and not choke on throw-up, cleaning up misses, cleaning up kiddos, trying to get everyone to fall asleep, finally drifting off for a literal minute and waking up to another gagging girl. Repeated about a million times.
- Looked at clock at 4:00 AM and tried to will it to morning time.
- We finally were able to get some sleep at 5 in the morning.  At 8:30 they darted out of the room like they had a full nights rest.  Wish I was as resilient.
- Redid half the laundry I did on Saturday and lots of holding all four 1/2 sick girls while watching every "Dog Jobs" episode on BYU T.V.
- Ryan makes dinner again and receives husband of the year award.
- Everyone is sleeping with throw-up bowls for precautionary measures.
- Wonder if I'm going to get the stomach bug or if basically wallowing in throw-up with my 2 year olds in the middle of the night gave me some needed super powers.

Hope you get super powers... not the bug...

Oh no. That is so awful, I am sorry! I too hope you steer clear, moms cannot get sick!

Last week I was up all night with both ends going and nursing a growth-spurting baby at least every 2 hours. Wretched, wretched.
